Alessandra Rich AW2023 Soundtrack & Official Show Video (Paris Fashion Week)

Alessandra Rich’s stunning Autumn/Winter 2023 collection “Fine & Rare” was presented at Sotheby’s during Paris Fashion Week. It was fantastic to do the soundtrack for this show as everything was flawless from the collection, to the casting, to the production. Plus Alessandra and her team were super cool and a lot of fun. “Rich likes women to be coquettish, seductive, and guilt-free naughty. The show was a parade of her favorite characters, shifting between bon ton dames playing ingenue, wearing pleated shirtdresses printed with tiny florals, and voluptuous vixens flaunting skimpy lingerie slips and frilly bralettes in see-through lace. There seemed to be no middle ground between a well-mannered afternoon tea and the boudoir.” Tiziana Cardini for VOGUE In her own words - “My inspirations come from the women that I meet from day to day in real life and also from fantasy women. I think we all have this sort of fantasy women in our subconsciousness”. “It’s about having fun and playing overtly with all the tropes of seductive femininity. “Not taking yourself too seriously and being frivolous. A sense of humor can be very sexy.” Her A-list fans include Rihanna, Olivia Wilde and Adriana Lima. Pop diva Beyoncé recently wore a lavish white lace tiered dress from Rich’s spring-summer collection in her controversial music video Formation. Composing The Soundtrack We used our normal “live” workflow where we do the soundtrack as a live takes using hardware and the computer is used as a capture device and then edited for length depending on the number of looks. Gear we used for this soundtrack: Elektron’s Analog Rytm, Analog 4, and Analog Keys. On bass duties was the Sequential OB6 and additional synth lines were done on the UDO super Six. Everything was mixed through the PlayDifferently Model1 mixer designed by Richie Hawtin. The full soundtrack was for 42 models and about 14 minutes long.
