🇷🇺 JOHN B’s DRUM & BASS RAVE IN TARKOV 🇷🇺 DNB DJ Set with Escape from Tarkov Russian Visuals

I’m a huge Escape From Tarkov fan - but not very good at it! (Currently level 39 with only 26 PMC kills hahah!). I had the idea a while ago, as my Twitch Livestreaming OBS visual skills have developed, to make ’virtual’ scenes around the Tarkov world, and do a DJ set completely devoted to Tarkov & the whole Russian vibe associated with it! The aim to make it look as though I was DJing on stage in famous locations you’d recognise from various maps - alongside random dancing scavs & other Russian stuff! I made all the background visuals here over a couple of weeks, using a combination of Photoshop & After Effects for some of the prep (like rotoscoping Pestily’s dancing Killa clip & some other dancing army guys etc), then final video editing of the scenes in Final Cut X to import into OBS as backgrounds & layers, to sandwich the webcam into, so I fit convincingly into the ’world’. Also made a big background ’VJ’ style video to play on the big screens and other backgrounds that cycle throughout the set - embedded in areas of the backgrounds I set up with their own ’greenscreen’ type areas to chroma key out (some had to be blue or magenta, for example in OLI as there’s already lots of green in the image). Complicated stuff, but most importantly this performance was all completely LIVE and streamed on Twitch. I stream using OBS, running on a maxed out 2020 13“ MacBook Pro. iPhone 12 as main cam, and a bunch of other webcams for different angles. I plan on doing these Tarkov sets every couple of months, I’ll be adding more scenes from more maps and locations to future ones! I stream DJ sets on Wednesday, Friday & Sunday nights live on twitch at 8pm (UK) Friday nights is for ’Upfront D&B’ sets, sometimes themed ones - and on Sundays I play Vinyl only - Drum & Bass classics & rarities!
