Sirenomelia or mermaid baby syndrome- an extremely rare case video.

This a case of Sirenomelia/mermaid syndrome in which both legs of a baby are completely fused along the whole length. It was delivered at a renowned government Hospital in Kolkatab West Bengal, India. It is a very rare case with a true “1 in a million“ incidence. The baby was a stillborn and could not be resuscitated to life as such babies have multiple other anomalies associated with the mermaid like morphology of the legs e.g. Cardiovascular, Gastrointestinal and pulmonary,etc. Even if such a baby would’ve been resuscitated, it would have had quite a poor outcome.
