Bookshop owner sparks controversy after anti-woke tweet

Sky News host Andrew Bolt has sat down with Robinsons Bookshop Owner Susanne Horman after she agreed to give her first interview since becoming a hate target for tweets she wrote. The tweets are still receiving criticism despite being posted at the end of December 2023. Ms Horman’s tweet calls out a lack of books with positive male lead characters and traditional nuclear white families. Ms Horman said she is “incredibly sorry” for people in the book industry who are affected by the “fuss”. “And to have worded something that is actually a very important issue – so poorly, so that people couldn’t actually hear the message of what I was trying to say,” she said.
