His home city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was no exception. On April 27, 1951, a parade was held in MacArthur’s honor. The parade ended at the Marquette football stadium, formerly located at 35th and St. Paul Ave. As this film shows, In front of an admiring crowd of 20,000 people, MacArthur made brief remarks and received an honorary doctorate.
