Marlow Regatta (1938)

Marlow, Buckinghamshire. At the Marlow Regatta we see several shots of men competing in the canoe novelty race. They climb down ropes and through tyres that dangle from a bridge over the river and get into their canoes. Crowds of people watch from the bridge and riverside. In the novelty punt race we see contestants using frying pans and spades instead of the usual blades. Various shots of a group of men have run playing ’canoe polo’ on the river.
