Bhairavi is an aspect of Goddess Parvati, and consort of Kala Bhairava, a manifestation of Lord verses from the Durga saptashati delineate Maa Bhairavi as the embodiment of divine wrath with terrifying form, protecting us from all forms of fear. She is also described as the one with the most gentle countenance with forbearing maternal protectiveness. We assimilate into this choreography, the contrasting ferocity, and subtleness of this Mahavidya. Recorded in the backdrop of Navratri, we envision the experience of transitioning from a state of absolute darkness, where Bhairavi is the only source of supreme light and is the flame of consciousness itself, to an enlightened world which can be experienced solely by chanting her name and surrendering to her raging power. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Choreographed and conceptualized by: Guru Shweta Devendra.
