HC Gilje: The Crossing

DARK ECOLOGY 2015 HC Gilje: The Crossing 27 - 29 November 2015 - Stadium “Trud“, Nikel, Russia --- The Crossing is a light-motion installation by HC Gilje outside Zapolyarny (RU). It explores and re-activates an abandoned construction site using light and motion: ephemeral light meets physical structures. The installation shows Gilje’s interest in motion itself, how it passes through spaces, objects, bodies and landscapes. The work is partly inspired by a quote from the essay Motor Geometry by the Dutch arc
