Idolo Threat Display!

Idolomantis diabolica adult female flashes her colors. Only one of the two adults does this and only when I have her on the ficus tree. As you’ll hear there is an element of sound to the display. Sounds like a switch blade! I think she’s rubbing one of her legs along the edge of her wing or the wings themselves make the sound. One more reason this is the coolest mantis species in the world!
