gas forming cellulitis

this patient presented with a severe infection of the L wrist and forearm. Pt had been trying to self doctor for days and even attempted to drain it with a knife himself. Upon exam the whole arm is swollen and red, there is air within the soft tissue and crepitus on palpation. Patient started on IV Invanz and Clindamycin and admitted for surgical debridement.
