Rockin 58 - Hello Mary Lou

Rockin 58 are Steve Kennedy (vocals), Jules Symes (lead guitar & vocals), Tony Folland (rhythm guitar), Mark Tucker (bass & vocals) and Roger Drye (drums). When Steve Kennedy met Mark Tucker in 1997 they decided to form a rock’n’roll band together. In 2011 they finally did, and Rockin 58 was born when Mark introduced Steve to some musician friends he had met over the years. Steve, the former vocalist with The Stingrays lists his main influence as Shakin’ Stevens, obviously Elvis Presley as well, and even Mark’s 1980’s rockabilly band Nervous Breakdown. Mark likes any music from south of the Mason Dixon line, or from the south of Wales like Crazy Cavan ’n’ the Rhythm Rockers or Dave Edmunds. Jules first met Mark in the late 80’s when they worked together delivering pianos. Jules pedigree includes playing guitar in an Elvis tribute show, his influences are of course guitarists James Burton and Scotty Moore. Tony and Mark have known each
