‘Coin-Sized’ Radioactive Capsule On A 1,400 km Highway l Australia’s “Needle In Haystack“ Search

Authorities in Western Australia have found the tiny but potentially “deadly” radioactive capsule in “literally a haystack”. Australian authorities were looking for an 8mm by 6mm silver capsule, no bigger than a coin. “Caesium-137” got lost while being transported on a truck from a mine to a depot in the city of Perth. According to the authorities, a mining company was using the capsule in a density gauge at the Gudai-Darri iron ore mine.
