Deadly Nepal Earthquake | Survivors spend restless nights on streets amid damage to houses

A deadly earthquake hit Nepal during the late hours of November 03. The death toll has mounted to over 150 and dozens have been injured in the natural disaster. The injured, including women and children, were receiving treatment in a hospital in Nepalgunj. The survivors had no choice but to spend their night outside on the streets as their houses were damaged. The earthquake struck the Jajarkot region with a magnitude of 6.4, Nepal’s National Seismological Centre said. On Nov 04, Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal reached the affected areas and took stock of the situation. He also called for an immediate cabinet meeting of the Disaster Management Committee. India’s PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident and said that he was “deeply saddened”.
