Kampfringen Fundamentals: Leg Drag

Kampfringen is a Historical European Martial Art (HEMA) consisting of strikes, joint locks and throws. This is a demonstration of a Kampfringen technique found in the 15th century German manual “Codex Wallerstein.“ Though this throw is not named, it is described later in the Codex as “pulling the foot (or leg) up.“ Executed by David James Knight (left) of Gotham Fightschool in NYC ().
