McKEEN MOTOR CAR running on the V&TRR

McKeen Motor Car Company started out of the U.P. (Omaha) Erecting Shops in 1904-1005, The purpose of the Motor Car was to assist railroads from having to use steam engines and passenger cars to move riders for relatively short distances thus saving expenses of operating larger steam engines. The Virginia & Truckee Railway purchased McKeen Motor Car No. 22 in 1910 and ran it successfully until 1945 between Carson City and Reno to the North, and Minden to the South. No. 22 was scraped (all except the body)
