Injured Kangaroo (1969)

No titles. Kangaroo paralysed by vandals. Sherwood Zoo, Nottinghamshire. M/S of a zoo keeper fixing together a suspended harness. Various shots of Skippy the kangaroo being brought out of his shed and put into the harness. Commentator explains that Skippy has a broken pelvis, and this baby bouncer is an attempt at getting him moving again. Vandal broke into the kangaroo’s enclosure one night with a dog and the terrified Skippy ran into a fence. (How awful!) The keeper helps Skippy to move up and down in the harness and strokes him. He feeds Skippy with some leaves from a bowl. A baby elephant helps himself to the food in the bowl. The keeper walks away leaving Skippy on his own and the elephant follows him.
