OPEC+ agree to cut production output by one million barrels per day in 2024

The announcement was made as Saudi Arabia, Russia, and other members of OPEC-plus, who pump more than 40 percent of the world’s oil, met online and issued the announcement on the voluntary cuts. The latest cut, will bring the total production curb to 2-point-2 million barrels per day from the eight producers. Global oil prices fell on the news, as the production cut fell short of market expectations. At the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate futures for delivery in at 75 dollars and 96 cents, down 2-point-4 percent.
