Yamato cinematic CGI animation with MAYA 2023

This private project shows the Yamato made by Japan which sank in 1945. Thick fog and a night atmosphere present a realistic appearence even though some water particles clip through the mesh. Rendertime was about 4 days with decent quality settings and 12 physical cores á . The water animation was done with Autodesk Maya 2023 and the Arnold renderer. The Yamato geometry was modelled by tanklover from sketchfab.
