Brayden Erbacher Tragically Died While Competing

About 11 a.m. on Sunday, Brayden Erbacher, 20, of Ipswich, Queensland, was competing in Wonthaggi, Victoria when he fell while launching off a jump and was struck by another rider. The young rider’s brilliant performance was lost despite receiving immediate medical attention for a severe head injury. He was pronounced dead moments later. The tragedy happened in front of hundreds of horrified spectators and the rest of the day’s ProMX Championship events - involving elite competitors from across the country - were cancelled. Motorcycling Australia cleared the area after cancelling the rest of the races and investigations by the Victorian police and WorkSafe began.  His unexpected passing has come as a complete shock to all his family members and friends, as they mourn the death of their beloved, Brayden.
