LZ Bones is in the midst of his annual molting and is losing lots of hair. He is embarrassed and hurt that he is different from everyone else and is upset that “everyone’s laughing.“ But when Mei Lin brings her new friend Andrew and his dog Bo to meet the group, LZ learns that he is not so different after all - Bo is shedding too! And though Andrew himself is blind and in a wheelchair, the group accepts him as he is, and everyone learns what true friendship really means.
