Eisenhower Leaves Paris & Khruschev Hold Press Conference (1960)

Paris, France. CU Flags of different nations flying, LS. American President Dwight Eisenhower leaves for airport building, walks past band and up to standard bearer, then turns and walks back to microphones. CU MS LS Eisenhower speaking on his sorrow at the failure of the summit conference (natural sound). LS as Eisenhower and party move off towards plane, down tarmac. LS Nose and wing of US Air Force Boeing 707. LS Eisenhower and party walk past guard on honour. Various LS as Boeing 707 taxis for take off ground to air pan with Boeing 707 as it flies away. LS as Nikita Khruschev, leader of Soviet Russia, comes into rooms for press conference. Reporters are heard booing and catcalling. Khruschev just smiles and then begins to make his statement in Russian. Good shot of him with clenched-fist striking air and waving finger aggressively as he speaks also of him looking quite benign and smiling. MS interpreter translating his speech into French.
