Masurenlied [Anthem of Masuren][+English translation]

The Masurenlied was written in 1855 by Friedrich Dewischeit as one of five Masurai songs. He dedicated it to his corps brothers of Masovia. “The Masurian Wanderlied“ became the national anthem of Masuria. The Reichsender Königsberg used the melody from 1930 as a break. The Masurians in Gelsenkirchen still sing it today.
