Euxine Sea • A Dance Medley! (World Dance Series - Special) Black Sea

A new dance medley!! But this time, it’s not about a land region. It’s about a sea! The Euxine Sea, also known as the Black Sea! Call it Pontus Euxinus, call it Pontus Aksenos, or Ucha Zugha, or Karadeniz or Chernomore! Its original name, “Aksenos Pontos“ means inhospitable and is believed to describe the difficulty in navigating the water and also the wild remoted tribes that historically surrounded it. The name later changed to Efxinus (=hospitable) after the Miletian Greeks colonized it. In this medley, I’ll show you 12 major ethnicities that are part of the Black Sea culture.
