Ankh, playthrough, pt. 1/2

In this video, I play through Ankh, a 1984 Commodore 64 game by David van Brink. Ankh is a brilliant action/puzzle game which is somewhat marred by a clunky graphics engine. I’ve never read the instructions for the game, if there are any; nor am I aware of any walkthroughs. All I know is what I’ve pieced together on my own. The object of the game is to collect four musical triangles and play them in the correct order in the ankh-shaped room. Each musical triangle is protected by a set of puzzles you must solve. Moving and shooting can be done with the joystick; or with the IJKL and ESDF keys, respectively. Stop moving by hitting just the fire button, or by pushing the spacebar. Extend your ship’s(?) arm(?) by holding down the shift key while firing. The arm picks things up, and certain stationary objects can be activated only with the arm. While still, you can hold the shift key and move to inch a step in the chosen direction (helpful for a couple of pixel-perfect alignments you have to do).
