The newly arrived fighters are engaged in the shooting of the received small arms. They shoot for accuracy and speed at targets at various ranges from automatic weapons and machine guns, RPG-7V anti-tank grenade launchers and 30-mm AGS-17 Flame automatic grenade launchers at targets that imitate manpower and lightly armoured vehicles of the enemy. Also, units are trained in army tactical shooting from small arms at a specially equipped area of ​​the range with shelter walls, passages and corridors, and window openings for firing from various uncomfortable positions at targets with a change in firing positions. In addition, under the guidance of instructors-mentors with rich modern combat experience, contract servicemen daily practice countering sabotage reconnaissance groups, study the engineering equipment of positions, as well as work with unmanned aerial vehicles. Elements are being worked out as part of tactical groups - squads and platoons. Soldiers also learn the basics of tactical medicine. In the course of classes, they work out the imposition of tourniquets, the provision of first aid, the evacuation of the wounded to a safe area. Each serviceman performs all exercises in personal armour to bring conditions closer to combat. Experts note that despite the fact that the age of servicemen varies, this affects the coherence of future units only on the positive side. The older ones help the younger ones, the younger listen to advice.
