Johann Adam Reincken “Fugue in g minor“ - KALEVI KIVINIEMI - organ

©KALEVI KIVINIEMI Finnish concert organist Kalevi Kiviniemi plays Heintz Organ of Hämeenlinna Church, Finland. Johann Adam Reincken (1643-1733) was, along with Dietrich Buxtehude, one of the largest influences on the organ works of J.S. Bach. When Reincken heard the young Bach improvising, he said “I though that this art was dead, but I see it lives on in you“. Reincken´s effervescent Fugue in g minor is an example of the style that Bach deeply admired. Video by Miika Hakala, MWH Production. Recording by Ja
