Roland TD-50X “Hip Hopper“ kit

You’ve heard most drummers playing ’normal’ drum sounds on their eKits. I thought it would be fun to do a few vids and show off some of the cool “odd” sounding stock kits in the new Roland TD-50X Upgrade. This kit is called Hip Hopper. I didn’t add any effects, nor did I do any extra module editing. This is exactly how it sounds ‘as is’ from Roland. Tons of things going on: listen to the Tambourine stacked on the hats, I totally dig this snare sound, and check out the separate rim sound effects on the Toms! The kick has an added layer of a Bass note, and the cymbal sounds are weird but oddly super musically satisfying. Gear used: Roland TD-50X, Audio Technica headphones, Yamaha MG10XU mixer, and Zoom Q2n.
