’Gaite Parisienne’ (1) - Bolshoi

’Gaite Parisienne’ is a one-act ballet to music by Offenbach, arranged by Manuel Rosenthal. Choreography by Leonide Massine and Etienne de Beaumont. The ballet is set in Grand Cafe Tortoni in Paris. A very lighthearted but skilful piece, during which a there is a quarrel. The final farandole whirls everyone away. The Baron - Artem Shpilevsky, The Glove Seller - Marianna Ryzhkina, The Peruvian - Denis Medvedev. Cancan soloist - Gennady Yanin. With artists of the Bolshoi Ballet. Conducted by Pavel Klinichev.
