Launch Day Lumina was hosted August 19th, 2022 as a tournament dedicated to running a Melty Blood tournament on night one of the newest version of Melty Blood: Type Lumina, ver. 1.3. This patch added Mash Kyrielight and Neco-Arc to the roster and to encourage DLC use, Top 8 matched paid out an additional cash prize to players who won a set as them during Top 8.
