Moscow lakes frozen and alive after record warm winter

Locals seek fun on the lake of Kuzminsky Park in south-eastern Moscow as a temperature drop over the New Year holiday froze up water across the city. An unusual warm spell has changed winter life in Russia’s capital, with temperatures reaching 4.7 degrees Celsius above zero ( Fahrenheit) on December 23, breaking the previous record for the same date in 1982 - 4.5 degrees Celsius.
