Review: Fritz Mann 25acp pocket pistol - Yes, it’s supposed to bulge cases

The Fritz Mann is a unique 25acp pocket pistol from 1920s Germany. The designer, Fritz Mann, wanted to create the smallest gun possible. To accomplish this, he eschewed the straight blowback or short-recoil mechanisms most frequently in use and developed a novel delay system whereby the cases intentionally bulge just a bit in the chamber. This slows down the rearward motion of the bolt. In my experience, it’s not an exceptionally reliable system, but it may be due to my ammo. (Hotter ammo may work better?)
