Kobayashi Eats 58.5 Hot Dogs at 2012 Crif Dog Classic |

Champion eater Takeru Kobayashi competed in and won the first-ever Crif Dog Classic by eating 58.5 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. Following extensive video review, the original count of 68.5 was revised due to an error counting hot dog plates. The contest was officiated by yellow jacket officials including founders Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson. The event took place on July 4th, 2012 at Roberta’s Pizza in Brooklyn, New York.
