Born to Rodeo was inspired by my family’s western lifestyle and written from my “rodeo mom“ perspective. It’s about the chase and the drive to follow your passion and the loved ones right there cheering the whole way. It is special to my heart because it is our life, but I feel the universal sentiment is still there. The line ’Mama, I’m living on Red Bull and a dream.“ was said by my son Micah one day when he was in trouble. I laughed and replied “I will probably use that in a song someday - but you’re still in trouble!“ I hope dreamers can relate and I hope the Mama’s feel the feels.
