Ken Murray and Doug de Vries play Choro No 1 (Villa-Lobos) on Altamira N3 and Sete Cordas Guitars

Chôro No. 1 (Chôro típico brasileiro) is originally a composition for solo guitar by the great Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, written in 1920. The title ’choro’ is taken from the improvisational genre of Brazilian instrumental popular music that originated in Rio de Janeiro in the nineteenth century. Here, Ken plays the solo guitar version on an Altamira N3 concert guitar, and Doug accompanies on the Altamira Sete Cordas (7 string) - the Brazilian variation of the instrument with an added low bass s
