Kordin lll | Malta’s Oldest Megalithic Structure and the Mysterious Stone Trough | Megalithomania

Megalithomania recently organised private access to explore this enigmatic site. Immediately above the Grand Harbour once stood numerous temples. One has disappeared under an industrial estate whilst only Kordin III survives despite being hit by a bomb in World War II. The temple is in a very ruinous condition with a Ggantija phase 3-apse design. It is the only temple whose forecourt, in front of the concave facade, is stone paved as is the entrance passage leading to the central area.
