Martin Purvis - An Outlaw’s Anthem

This is my song ’An Outlaw’s Anthem’, I hope you like it! The base tune I’ve had saved in my potential songs folder in Google Drive for like 3 years, managed to finally turn it into a song. If you count the period I recorded wrote, recorded and filmed this then it is around 1 week. I’m back again using the Blue Yeti Pro mic as well as a standard DI in for all the recording in Cubase Elements, some instruments are vst’s from Kontakt Komplete using a midi controller. For any musicians/filmmakers of you interested, this entire music video was shot on 2 Canon EOS M50’s using Canon EF-M 22m f/2 pancake lenses, luckily it was good weather when I headed out to film it (maybe too good, as sometimes the sky just looks white). Actual filming took around an hour, most of the time I was just sitting around waiting for people to leave the area (but new arrivals kept coming :’( ) - I think I was waiting for like 2 hours, ain’t no way I’m going to bother people with playing the same song 10 times or so 😂. This video was recorded at , which is a cool looking place called Groverake Mine which is now abandoned, some cool houses that have fallen into disrepair too. For this song, I tuned my guitar to D#-G#-C#-F#-A#-D# if you want to try and play it yourself, just have fun with it! Additional info, recorded to 140BPM, common time 4/4.
