I really love him both good and evil, his animations is superb. In the Temple of Lathander, you can complete the quest “Blood of Lathander” without the quest item (cross) and just steal the baton from the altar, in this case the Lathander lance will be activated . Then you need to leave Astarion inside or outside so that he is still in the Temple grounds. Yes, he will die, unfortunately. He will need to be resurrected at the camp and get those dialogs.
