Specsavers latest TV commercial, advertising 30% off for over 60s, is officially the most exhilarating and thrilling the company has ever made. Set on Blackpools dizzying Infusion rollercoaster ride, it features a stalwart pair of pensioners, who inadvertently sit down on the ride for a rest. Clamped into their seats, they are whisked away on what is reckoned to be one of the fastest and most tortuous rides in the country. They shouldve gone to Specsavers, the ad concludes. Allegedly actors Hugh Futchor and Patricia England, both in their 70s, upstaged and out-rode dozens of youngsters, and walked away with a big smile on their faces.
