This started out as a joke, and then I realised there was actually a freaky amount of content in How I Met Your Mother to support the Ted/Barney crackship. It’s obviously different to my other stuff, and I won’t likely do many more fanon ships because it is hard to manipulate the footage like that (but a lot of fun!). Unlike the other videos I do on here, this one follows an Alternative Universe timeline. So instead of going the spoof route, I went more serious. I worked hard to make this a believable storyline. In this version, Ted and Barney are best friends. Ted realises he’s in love with Barney, so he ends his relationship with Robin. Barney finds out, they sleep together and begin dating in secret. When the gang find out and everything becomes too intense for Barney, Ted ends it. Then Barney is hit by a car, and they reconcile. They adopt a daughter and eventually get married.
