Gunars started his singing career in very early age - back in 1985 in children`s vocal group “Dzeguzite“ (directed by Daila Martinsone). Vocal group had enormous success in Latvia, but even more so - in the largest country on the planet - Russia. Still to this day - occasionally Kalnins is invited to some TV programs in Russia regarding his childhood fame.
