Bayerische Staatsoper Season 2024/2025 (The Bavarian State Opera; Munich, Germany)

The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced its 2024-25 season. Tobias Krazter directs a new production of Wagner’s “Das Rheingold” with Nicholas Brownlee, Sean Panikkar, Ekaterina Gubanova. Vladimir Jurowski conducts. Damiano Michieletto directs Donizetti’s “La Fille du Régiment” with Pretty Yende, Lisette Oropesa, Susan Graham, Xabier Anduaga, Lawrence Brownlee, and Misha Kiria. Stefano Montanari ’ “Die Liebe der Danae” will star Christopher Maltman, Malin Byström, and Andreas Schager. Sebastian Weigle conducts the new production by Claus Guth. Janáček’s “Kát’a Kabanová” will showcase Corrine Winters in the title role alongside Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla conducting.
