Global electronic music stars Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have made their acting debut in the new movie by filmmakers Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah called Patser (Gangsta). The Belgian writer-directors are best known for their edgy drama “Black“, which won the Discovery Award at the Toronto Film Festival last year, and have recently been courted by Hollywood to direct the long awaited fourth installment of the new Beverly Hills Cop movie, which will see Eddie Murphy reprise his role as Axel Foley. Having found recent praise for their work on the US TV crime drama Snowfall, Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah tell the story of the lives of four dealer friends, who want to become real life swaggers. Everything spins out of control when they steal a shipment of cocaine and trigger a full out war between them, an Amsterdam drug lord and the ruthless Colombian cartels. Featuring alongside Matteo Simone and a Belgian all-star cast, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike’s debut on the silver screen for Patser (Gangsta) has been met with early praise by critics, with the trailer gone viral online both in the music and film community as soon as surfaced online.
