Orangutan Benji’s Unique Persona He’s Literally A “Basket Case“

Today another Orangutan video from Dudley Zoo. This is the interesting male Orangutan with huge flanges called Benji. He has his own little quirks. Discover the fascinating story of Benji, the remarkable Orangutan. A lone male who prefers his solitude. The zoo staff made efforts to pair him with Jazz, but unfortunately, Benji showed no interest. A distinct characteristic of Benji is his strong attachment to a red bread crate, which acts as his comforting companion. Whether he’s sitting inside it or carrying it around, the crate seems to provide him with a sense of security. Whenever the crate becomes damaged, it greatly upsets Benji, but the staff promptly get it replaced. (Thank you @tesco supermarket for supplying a new crate when needed) though it takes some time for him to adjust to the new one.
