Ostmen Dubh by Secret Archives of the Vatican [Dark Age Music]

This tune was developed from one of our one-minute releases, Ostmen, that came out in September 2023. We thought it deserved to be further developed. We slowed it down a little, added some more instruments and sounds, and made it longer. It’s kind of a dub version, hence the title but the Irish word “dubh“ means “black“ so we went with that instead of “dub“. Ostmen... The Norse–Gaels were a people of mixed Gaelic and Norse ancestry and culture. They emerged in the Viking Age, when Vikings who settled in Ireland and in Scotland, became Gaelicised and intermarried with Gaels. The Norse–Gaels dominated much of the Irish Sea and Scottish Sea regions from the 9th to 12th centuries. The Norse–Gaels often called themselves Ostmen or Austmen, meaning East-men.
