Goanna Pulling

The following video clips are of the events held at the Wooli Goanna Pulling Championships held on Sunday at of all places Wooli NSW. There is a bit of technique to this but basically it is sheer brute strength as two contestants face off with a leather belt looped behind the head and try to pull each other over the line. It is a bit like Tug O War. It get’s it’s name from the fighting stance taken by two goanna’s that the two contestants take. There is also some footage of the Tug O War events on the day. A real old fashioned good family day out.
