Yakov Flier plays Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 3 - 1966

Only the first movement of this 1966 studio recording with the Moscow PO under Kirill Kondrashin was broadcast. Apparently the whole concerto was released on LP in 1978 but I haven’t seen a copy. As usual with studio recordings from this place and period, the piano and sound are a bit less than ideal. Still, it’s Yakov Flier. There is also a 1941 performance with Boris Khaykin which was released on LP in 1982 and that is much easier to find. Яков Флиер - Рахманинов - Кирилл Кондрашин
