Aussie Navy joins elite Western missile club with successful long-range test Australia is now only the third country in the world, after the US and UK, to successfully acquire and launch a Tomahawk cruise missile. Canberra will spend AUS$1.3 billion on acquiring 200 Tomahawks to be deployed on Hobart-class destroyers, Virginia-class submarines, and possibly Hunter-class frigates.
