TWSS 2021 Trudy Bolin & Dr. Salvador Sosa Use of VSim to Design RF Particle Accelerators

4th talk at Tech X’s TWSS 2021annual user conference. Topic: Use of VSim for Design and Advanced Controllers of RF Particle Accelerators Presenting: Dr. Salvador Sosa Salvador is a Mexican physicist. He received a B.S. in physics from the University of Puebla in 2012 and a PhD in physics from Old Dominion University in 2018. His graduate research at Jefferson Lab focused on superconducting crab cavities for the electron-ion collider. He is now a Postdoc at the University of New Mexico, exploring applications of artificial intelligence in the control of particle accelerators. Trudy Bolin Trudy Bolin earned her B.S. in 1995 and M.S. in Physics from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1997. She has twelve years of synchrotron experience as a beamline scientist at the Advanced Photon Source, located at Argonne National Laboratory, and eighteen total years of experience at the facility. She served as a senior researcher in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering group at Colorado State Unive
