Gogi (born Myrtle Arinsberg) wanted to be a singer in her teen years. She won some contests convincing her that she pursue a professional career. Her first song on the Era label, Suddenly There’s A Valley met with some success, but this huge hit in 1956 top the charts for 6 weeks. It was the #5 song of 1956.
