My musical buddy Les Blackwell swing by the Spooniverse for a moment. We’ve been hanging out and talking shop, philosophy, and playing some music. Les is an interesting character that has a huge story to tell and has been playing music and writing songs from this town to that, sleeping rough when the occasion calls, and getting by on a bit of hope. He’s on his way to Chattanooga this week, so wish him luck! You can find more of his music at Subscribe if it tickles your fancy, too.
This song, The Cuckoo, is a real old one and gets passed around a lot. I’ve probably played this song in some arrangement or another in most states, and now in Kansas. Let me know if you’ve heard or played this song too, and where you’re from… I’d be curious to know.
